Which car? Small car, tall drivers?

We want to replace an old banger with a much newer or new car. It will be driven by me and dh and 17yo ds - dh and ds are both extremely tall.

Can anyone recommend a small car that is safe, good for tall drivers and tall front/back passengers and in an insurance group that wouldn't cost £££££ for a 17yo to be on it as well?
TIA!

VW polo - surprisingly spacious. Small boot though

Same. Dh and DS1 both have 34 inch legs (I know the 37 inch leg people will be out shortly but y’know…) and the Polo/Ibiza/Fabia depending on your budget/styling preferences seemed to be the best best.

Surprisingly the Hyundai i10 works well for my over 6ft son and me at 5ft 3 as the seat and steering wheel both adjust up and down as well as back and fore. Also low insurance as 1000cc. Surprisingly spacious for trips to uni at beginning and end of term.

Sil lent us her Hyundai Getz when we lived in Oz. We only needed it for a few weeks. We found it like a tardis. I’m 5’10” and need my seat back. The boot strangely fit my Britax buggy and shopping. Nippy little thing too.
