Get a credit card. Spend no more than 25% of the limit and pay off in full every month on the same date. Will improve it dramatically in a few months.

What @Notanotherwindow said to the very last letter. But ensure you don't skip a payment.

I believe aqua is a recommended card for helping you do this. But High interest so must be paid off in full

You could be liaising in the wind with a low limit bad credit card.

What's is the problem with your report? How to fix it really does depend on what is wrong with it, although the basic get a credit card and use it wisely works, you may need to take other steps.

Pissing in the wind

I found loqbox useful - you save a fixed amount a month with them, and get it back after 12mths.

I've got a referral code if anyone fancies £5 credit for each of us..

Paying you car/home insurance monthly can help, as can looking somewhere like money saving expert website. He is full of fabulous advice. Do you have a phone contract. Monthly Netflix or Amazon, they all help.
A credit card can help. Always pay off the balance, in full, every month, if you can. I particularly loathe giving financial places my hard earned money in interest. When I used a card for a bigger item - laptop died and needed replacing as my work ran on my laptop (shocker, and I wasn’t there long) I paid it off in 2 big and one small payments. You can pre-apply for some and the do a ‘soft search’ to see if you are likely to be accepted. I would suggest doing that.
My credit score has gone from zero to hero in under 2 years.

Do you have a cheap mobile phone contract?

Beezknees · 16/09/2022 17:50

Are you able to get a credit card? I was thousands in debt a few years ago and my credit rating was poor but I managed to get a credit card and build it back up by spending small amounts on it and paying them off in full on payday.

Capital One is another that will issue a low limit card to people with bad credit.

Make sure you're on the Electoral Roll.
