Afternoon all

Has anyone had any success with hairdressers?

I had an expensive hair colour disaster. Salon attempted to rectify it on a follow up visit to no avail. Have refused refund. They said I can go back in for them to try again or to try another branch. Would rather have refund and go elsewhere.

I do have photos/emails to submit with chargeback claim.

Debit or credit card? Doesn't feel to me like something that would be covered regardless.

Debit. Apparently chargeback covers services.

Did you pay at the end of your appointment? After they've done it and you've seen it?

It's unlikely you'd get a chargeback as they've offered for you to go elsewhere to get it fixed I'm afraid

@Flumpymc Colour wasn’t as vibrant as I hoped but yes I paid. Colour then washed straight out at home. They have already had one attempt to rectify it.

I think chargeback is more for when a service wasn't received when it had been paid for, like a flight for example, rather than a haircut you are unhappy with. I can't see you having a successful claim, but by all means give it a try.

I successfully got a refund for a pair of bespoke shoes that should have been made to measure (Christmas present for my husband) - I had photos of the poor fit and the company refused to do anything as was going into receivership.
i,d say it’s worth a try. Worst they can do is say no.

hey, i'm in a similar situation but they refused to fix my hair and offer any refund. i am considering a chargeback... were u successful with your chargeback?

Yes, I submitted photos with the claim and the bank refunded really quickly. I was pleasantly surprised. Good luck!
