School refusal. Chronic constipation. Just a rant really.

Bit of a long one. My daughter is 7 and she’s school refusing. She’s been offered a part time timetable, a ‘time away’ card and help when she needs it, but she won’t even put her uniforms on in the morning still. She’s waiting for a autism referral (has 2 autistic siblings), and I suspect learning difficulties although I’ve been promised a EP would assess her since last year and nothing yet.

aswell as this, she suffers severe chronic constipation and refuses all meds, resulting in her being seriously blocked up and constantly soiling. I’ve tried hiding meds, but with her being so sensory she can always taste it. I’ve been told it’s at the point where daily washouts at home are the only option now, which she says she’ll also refuse. And I can’t physically pin her down so I’m at a loss again.

not really sure what the point in the post was, sorry, think I just needed a rant because nobody understands 😞

I understand ✋

My 7 year old has been refusing since the beginning of September has developed bad anxiety since starting year 3. I can't offer you any solutions or advice with that as I'm stuck too and educational laws are ridiculous for SEN children. But I understand the struggle.

As for the constipation my boy had this too for years. He took laxatives for years which just made him soil. He was in nappies until year 2. I now give him Peppa pig probiotic gummies and he's been fine ever since. Maybe because they're gummies she might have them ? They taste great too I've tried them they're not horrible like typical vitamins. Obviously look into it yourself but I couldn't recommend them enough.

Hope things get better.
