Should I bother 111 about this blood pressure reading?

I've got my pill check with the GP tomorrow over the phone, so took my blood pressure in preparation. To my surprise it's very high - the highest was 175/117 but I did a few a couple of hours apart and the lowest was about 160/95. I'm 31 and have never had high blood pressure before. Common sense says to wait and speak to GP tomorrow, but I'm a bit worried. Will I last until the morning?! I feel totally fine BTW.

The NHS has a page on high blood pressure where you can put your reading in and it’ll tell you whether you need to see someone now or in the next few days etc.

Are you sure you're taking accurate readings? You need to be sitting down without legs crossed and your arm needs to be at heart level so usually resting on a table or equivalent. Back should be supported.

Make sure you fo not need the loo before doing it. I am.syre this affects your blood pressure. My machine says not to take it wjthin 30m of exercise or eating or drinking too.

I'd wait til tomorriw. Having had to monitor mine over a week after a similar reading at the GP.
