Anyone stayed at the Shangri-La hotel?

We have a wedding anniversary coming up and my husband randomly said, do you want to go here?
It's stupidly expensive imo , but he wants the experience. I think he loves the views offered.
We live on the outskirts of London so not a big deal re travel.

I keep coming up with cheaper options but he seems intent on this place.

At the Shard? I stayed there and it was fabulous.... very expensive but for a special occasion is a wonderful experience.

I've stayed in one in SE Asia they're stunning hotels. I'd definitely go for the Shard, the views are spectacular.

Stayed there a couple of years ago - very expensive but amazing experience. Lovely gym and pool. We had lunch in the tea room (can't remember what it was called) and planned to have a meal out in London for dinner, but ended up getting room service for dinner and just watching the view.
