I thinks that's good you basically paid full price for one thing and got the rest for free

Joopy · 15/09/2022 20:05

Yes! Less than a pound per item.

JustTheOneSwan · 15/09/2022 20:05

Two sandwiches and two buns is worth it.

Hoolihan · 15/09/2022 20:06

It's very good value as long as you actually ate it.

Octomore · 15/09/2022 20:08

You got 4 different products for the price of one, a mix of savoury and sweet.

What were you expecting?

loulounb · 15/09/2022 20:08

Yes we did
Luckily the panini is actually what I wanted and my friend loves the toastie
Never tried a blueberry muffin before so hopefully will like it

I was hoping for some nice cake ha ha

Blueberry muffins are the best

Octomore · 15/09/2022 20:11

Just because you didn't get the specific product you hoped for, that doesn't mean what you got wasn't worth the money.

If you want a specific product, just buy that specific product.

ChagSameachDoreen · 15/09/2022 20:13

That's decent. I'd be all over it.

ODFOx · 15/09/2022 20:16

2 Sandwiches and 2 cakes is lunch for two isn't it?
For £3.50?
We don't have coffee/sandwich chains here but it doesn't seem unreasonable as long as it isn't stale. Was it nice?

loulounb · 15/09/2022 20:17

It was lovely -well the panini and toastie were
Lovely and fresh
Gonna have a cuppa with the muffin and my friend loved the pain au choclat

This!! It's an amazing deal.

Surtsey · 15/09/2022 20:18

What is this offer of which you speak?

I get the distinct impression that I'm missing out somewhere along the line...

pompomdaisy · 15/09/2022 20:20

I got one muffin and two slices of dried cinnamon toast in one last week for £4. Never again!

loulounb · 15/09/2022 20:20

@Surtsey there's an app called "too good to go"
Every day the likes of Costa/Starbucks /greggs/restaurants advertise magic bags for £3-£4
It's basically stock that hasn't sold

If you want “nice cake” you ordered from the wrong place, to be honest. There’s usually bakeries/independents on 2G2G (in all the locations I’ve used it in anyway) that have items that won’t be full of preservatives.

Moltenpink · 15/09/2022 20:37

Better than the one that I got from Starbucks, it contained a fake tuna sandwich which has to go down as the worst thing I have ever eaten. Things that don’t contain seafood should not taste like fish Envy

MillyWithaY · 15/09/2022 20:46

I'd have been delighted with that selection! I deleted the TGTG app as the stuuf I bought, with one exception, was rubbish. My Starbucks magic bag contained 3(!) vegan toasties and a couple of pastries for £6.99. I'm not vegan and I do not like their vegan toasties.

Mosso · 15/09/2022 20:59

I deleted it too. Tried it twice and got a lot of dried out rubbish.

crochetmonkey74 · 15/09/2022 21:05

Starbucks are the worst bags for me on Too Good To Go as I don't like mustard, or egg. It's good value in that you got full items but I have stopped getting them. There's a bakery near me that does the bags and you get breads, pastries, biscuits, pasties, cakes. It's amazing! I have also found the M and S garages that are on there good too

feckoffbrian · 15/09/2022 21:12

I'd have been thrilled! I stopped getting 2G2G from bakeries because I don't have a sweet tooth.

But the whole idea is that it is a surprise mix.

happinesslovescompany · 15/09/2022 23:01

Ewww no! Any food with 'ch' sounds is out for me, like cheese and chewna. Gross!

happinesslovescompany · 15/09/2022 23:02

However I'd never buy from Starbucks!

edwinbear · 15/09/2022 23:30

That’s a good bag, but not as good as my Boulangerie Jade one today 😁huge croissant, pain au chocolat, sausage roll, full sized brioche loaf, french stick, full sized crusty loaf and a bag of various rolls for £4.50.

We’re trying the local Chinese tomorrow, 2 x bags for £5 each.
