Does anyone know anything about front door locks?

My door lock jammed and this is what my housing association have done as an attempt to open the door and then gone away having given up with the promise of sending out someone more knowledgeable. Is it me or have they made the situation worse? The locking mechanism is 3 hooks that turn into the doorframe when the handle is rotated but without a handle how are they meant to turn the hooks??

They've probably made it so the hooks don't engage.

if you can get out, I'd leave it for tonight (if you feel safe enough) then call them tomorrow. It looks totally unsatisfactory!

I'm stuck outside with my 13yo daughter and my DP is stuck inside. Hopefully the next guy to attempt to sort it should be here shortly.

It looks like a wooden door, not plastic where multipoint locks are more common.

Probably has a Eurocylinder

Multipoint locks are prone to getting out of adjustment, but if necessary spare gearboxes and other parts are readily available in the lock trade.

Oh, it was last night, so hopefully fixed by now

I finally got in at 9 last night. The guy had to leave it without a lock as it was so late in the day so the only way of securing the door was using the chain. A carpenter then came back out and put a lock in at 11 today.
