Gloomy day- can you cheer me up by telling me when your first knew you were in love?
What did it feel like? How did you know it was the real thing?

I was at a lecture about an earthquake, and my friend was sitting a couple of rows in front of me. I remember thinking, if there was an earthquake now, she'd be the one I would want to save, not my then-boyfriend. So I broke up with the boyfriend and eventually got together with my friend.

I remember thinking really rude thoughts about him! Which isn't like me at all. Makes me blush 10 years later. We worked at a supermarket together and used to kiss behind the cages!

I had a dream before our first date that was SO romantic and SO filthy and SO realistic and it took me completely by surprise- I felt certain that she was it from that moment on. And I wasn't wrong.

Genuine heart wrenching panic at the thought of him being seriously injured or ill.

Feeling hurt inside at the thought of him being sad or upset.

Saturdays nights in completely content with one another's company talking the night away.

Imagining every moment of a long life together and hoping we'll be that old couple who are over protective of one another and content spending late retirement potting about.

Lying in bed together doing a crossword, and realising how happy and safe I felt, and how much I admired him. I just knew.

After our third date we went to get petrol. As I watched him emerge from the kiosk, having paid, I felt such a strong rush of emotion and said out loud, although I was alone in the car "I will never let this man go".
I'm not sure what made me so convinced he was the one, but still going strong so far.

We met online during the strictest part of longdown. We exchanged a few messages then went to WhatsApp and then video calls. We talked every night for almost 3 months . During those 3 months we talked about everything under the sun....we laughed , we cried . I had recently been bereaved ....couldn't meet up with family and I had been feeling so utterly miserable. He had to get up around 5 am for work but every morning he would record voice messages for me to get when I awoke. I had mentioned at one point that I loved poetry so he began to read poems for me to listen when I woke up. There was one poem that was so funny that he could barely read for laughing....it took him several attempts and in those few hilarious moments I thought "God I could love this man".
We finally physically met on 6th Feb 2021 and my instinct was right....I do love this man! We plan to marry in 2023.....

When I went from never ever EVER wanting to have children and being v happily child free FOREVER….to very definitely wanting to have a baby with him.

Also, when I cook, I always give him the best looking food! With exes, I’d always make sure I served myself the best stuff. That’s how I knew 🥰

I love this. I felt like that when I saw him interacting with his sisters.
