Toddler eating bogies...yuck!

HOW do I get him to stop?! I find it absolutely stomach churning.
He is actually good about blowing his nose and us wiping his nose but there's also plenty of occasions that I've caught him eating it.
I'm also worried if I can't curb it now, he will go to primary school and then he will get bullied if someone sees him do it.
He's just over 3.

They all do it. Leave them to it, it’s not going to do them any harm. Mine eats scabs too 😂

Just encourage good hygiene and he’ll grow out of it, trust me as a mother of 4 boys none of them were eating snot at school and if they did I’m sure they aren’t alone.

Yes it's gross, my toddler (who is now 9), did and still does it. 🤢
However, the thing that has kept me somewhat sane about it is that at least he's not wiping it on the wall/curtain etc
It's amazing how we adapt to previous incomprehensible notions 😬😁

My 4 year old showed me one this morning before he ate it! They all do it, as do many adults!

I think I'd prefer it on stuff and I can clean it off. I just hate the thought of eating bogies, it is disgusting!

I let mine get on with it now. When I told her to stop eating them, she started wiping them on furniture and walls! Refuses to use a tissue full stop. Therefore, if it's it's choice between furniture/walls and eating them, I just let her eat them.

dingbat56 · 14/09/2022 21:40

One of mine did it - one didn’t … the one that didn’t picked off his toe nails.. I’ve never once needed to cut them 🤢

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 14/09/2022 21:43

Oh goodd why are little people so disgusting?!
The thing in confused at is, he is so good at blowing his nose so I just don't understand why he has now decided to start eating them :(
