Possibly a very stupid question - re dieting

So after lockdown, my mums poor health and subsequent death and my own poor health and major surgery my weight has crept up the past few years.

I was ready a 2 weeks ago to get into a proper diet and exercise routine.

Can't justify paying for following a programme so doing lots of fresh food, low (almost no) carbs, increased my protein and eating 50% of lunch and dinner as fruit or veg.

I have long days (4am wake up and not home until 8pm mostly as ds is a swimmer) and so I'm trying to eat at better times so I'm not getting home starving.

Breakfast: 7.30am
Lunch: noon
Dinner: 5/6pm (I take it with me to training).

Lost 2.5lbs so it's working and I'd already decided if after a month I hadn't managed half a stone I'd look again at paying for a programme.

My question is this - the past few days I've needed to wee - a LOT Grin

Before my surgery I got a lot of UTIs but it doesn't feel like that, no fever, discomfort on urinating or pain. Just this need to wee frequently.

Could this be due to change of diet and exercising 6/7 days?

I know it's a stupid question but if it's not that it could be a UTI albeit no symptoms and with BH coming up I don't want to leave it a few more days and not be able to get treatment if it hits hard!

Fruit and veg have a lot of water content, so that might be it. I found the loseit! app very helpful in tracking calories in and out, and the free version is fine.

Never even considered the increased water in fruit and veg 🤦‍♀️

I have also been quite thirsty as well - my lips have been fairly dry. Would keto do this? Do I need to worry I'm doing something wrong?

I should add in myself I feel very fit and well. Enter than I have done for years and I feel far less bloated.
