Family calendar/planner recommendation?

I used to have one of the Busy Bones each year, but dh and I split 6 years ago and since then I haven't needed one as children have been only others in the household. My paper diary has been queen of the world :)

However they are at an age now where I need them to be a bit more responsible for their own things so really should have a visible planner where we can all see what everyone is up to/what kit they need to get ready.

Are the Busy B still pretty good or are there any others out there that do similar things but better? I am a stationary fiend so love a natty planner! Any recommendations?

We have a weekly whiteboard and rewrite each week, and then a cheapo diary in the drawer for forward planning.

We have the National Trust calendar as it is 5 columns, you can see a whole month at once, and there is decent space next to every day.
5 columns, rather than 4 are useful for us, as we have one for each person in the house, plus a "General" one.

I say "we* here. Actually I'm the only one that uses the NT calendar -everyone else uses the family google calendar. My DC looked at me as though I was mad when I suggested updating the paper version.

I like the Hedgehugs one although dh got me a Boofle one for this year. It hangs in the kitchen so anyone can see who is doing what

I had a Busy B wall calendar this year, and have bought the smaller version this year. Also had a planner from them and rebought that again. Since she was small, DD knows that everything goes on the calendar and mine is also hung up in the kitchen.

Before the Busy B on, I've had a few Sandra Boynton ones. I like any wall calendar with separate columns, as I find that easier.
