Seems impossible!
ds 11 was diagnosed with autism just after his 5th birthday when he was still under my local early years team and put on the pathway.
as he's got older it's become increasingly obvious that he may have adhd too - or maybe it's just autism presenting in a similar way.
a diagnosis of adhd won't necessarily change anything but I think it will help him getting the correct diagnosis as he progresses through life.
he also has anxiety, not officially diagnosed through Camhs but through our gp as it's more than obvious he's very anxious and he's showing traits of ocd but Camhs don't want to know regarding that either.
he also has significant learning delays. Working at year 2 level.
He's already on nightly melatonin for helping him get to sleep.
Camhs have rejected us as he's already got an autism diagnosis, they don't want to know. We have very little support. Most professional signed has off after his autism diagnosis, as it was all the early team, even the paediatrician signed us off. We have very little support.
who is meant to help us??
he has an EHCP and has done since pre school age. He was we supported at mainstream primary, now at mainstream secondary and it is too early to say how that's going to go.
if Camhs won't help I'm not sure what else I'm meant to do?!
