First one of the year wandering across my bed!

Fortunately I keep a glass & postcard in my room specifically for removal but it gave me a helluva shock as I rearranged my pillows this morning.

Am wondering how long we've been co-sleeping...

Some things are best kept private OP, this is one of them!! 🙅

Yutes · 13/09/2022 09:01

ah yes. Horny spider season. I was round my door and windows with some peppermint tea, not entirely sure it helps but I heard spiders don’t like mint

shinynewapple22 · 13/09/2022 09:02

Trigger warning needed !!! I've found a few - luckily on the floor not in my bed. Sorry but I tread on them . I leave all the flimsy cellar spiders lurking in my corners but can't deal with the big ones.

Bagpiss · 13/09/2022 09:02

Wish there'd been a warning on this 😱😱

ChonkyDonkey · 13/09/2022 09:04

Aww, an 8 armed hug 🤗
I have spider repatriation kits dotted about the house for swift evictions. If you take your eyes off them for too long, it's game over.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 13/09/2022 09:04

We had two HUGE ones a few weeks ago. I have not hoovered absolutely everywhere thoroughly and I'm not leaving anything in the floor. Little bastards I can't stand them
I need to get a new spider sooker actually

MenopauseSucks · 13/09/2022 09:09

I have some lovely dark bed sets but at this time of year I daren't use them as you can't see spiders against the fabric!

@Yutes

I'll give the peppermint tea trick a go.

I used to leave them be until I found out they can bite you!

Yutes · 13/09/2022 15:38

@MenopauseSucks im glad that you understood I meant wash. Obviously I couldn’t think straight this morning* *Confused

TooMuchToDoTooLittleInclination · 13/09/2022 15:41

There's been posts about them for weeks. I've put 1/2 dozen outside already (& yes they CAN live outside)

Decidualcast · 13/09/2022 15:43

Oh wow!! I have ALL windows in my home open whilst DS is at school. He expressly forbids my from opening them due to spiders. Now I understand…

BMW6 · 13/09/2022 15:44

Gah! Warning in title next time please 😣

Huelcup · 13/09/2022 15:44

I've had two or three in already. Or maybe it was the same one that kept getting back in. I accidentally squashed the last one and we've not had another since.
