Anyone gone to St Giles for the lying in state?

Did you go to the lying in state in St. Giles? How long did you queue for?

We were there.
joined the queue at 23.20.
got into St Giles just before 04.00

there were thousands of folks there.
very well organised, with portaloos, Marshall and first aiders, police, food and drink opportunities.

everyone very respectful - talking in hushed voices in the queue.
the atmosphere in St Giles was incredible.

such an outpouring of love.

very glad we were able to go.

I guess it is taking longer due to security?

The security was at junction of George IV Bridge and the high Street. Was very efficient.

it was the sheer numbers of folk there. The queues snaked up and down the Meadows. Incredible to see thousands of people waiting so quietly.
