Driving tests cancelled for Queen's funeral?

Does anyone know whether driving theory tests will be cancelled because of the Queen's funeral? My son has one booked on the day and I was expecting to hear from them today with instructions on how to rebook. However, we have heard absolutely zilch. Anybody know the answer to this one?

Maybe they don’t know yet, we are still waiting for an area decision as to whether we will be working or not.

I wouldn't be surprised after the way they carried on during Covid opening three months after schools went back (bitter).

My daughter has one at the time of funeral and like you expected to hear today it would be cancelled but heard nothing yet

Are they available to book on normal bank holidays?

I would imagine both practical & theory tests would be cancelled. Civil Servants don’t work on Bank Hols.

Surely they would arrange a Saturday in next couple of weeks it they cancel?!
we’re the same here!..daughter has test on Monday 19th…heard nothing

They do tests on bank holidays it’s not unheard of

They don't usually do bank holidays where I live. However, with the crazy backlog for tests, who knows. I'm just surprised we haven't heard anything. It's seems like we're not the only ones.

I too would like to know that, but it's my actual test, my Instructor called to say that it would more than likely be cancelled, and let them rearrange the date as it would be no expense to me but I've not heard a peep and would of thought they would of contacted with some sort of Info.

I to have a driving test on the 19th September..I'm worried if it'd cancelled I want get it rearranged as my last day to cancel is tomorrow wed 14th September ..so I'll lose my money

I’m sure there won’t be any charge but surely they will do a Saturday or something as a replacement!..you can’t get a bootable test in our area now until next year that so that wouldn’t be fair! !..my daughters been terribly upset at the thought of her test on Monday being cancelled!!

No they don't (which is why I'm expecting it to be cancelled) but we still need details of what they're going to do to reschedule tests already booked in, or even just get some confirmation one way or another.

Bank holiday and yes I would expect it to be cancelled, my DH works as a temporary as in not fully employed lecturer for a Uni and asked if he could still teach that day but it was a no, treat it as a normal bank holiday where most things would be closed

From the DVSA. Theory Tests are cancelled, still trying to get an answer out of the DVSA regarding Practical Tests, but I'd expect them to be cancelled too

Practical tests have been cancelled too. We’ve been told that the test will be rebooked…
