Long shot but are unsent instagram messages gone forever?

Does anyone know if instagram messages are gone forever once they are read and then unsent? Would there be any way of retrieving them if they contained verbally abusive content?

I'm pretty sure they're gone for good.

no you can't see them again unfortunately.

Do you mean sent to you and then deleted?

If so, go to notifications and click WhatsApp. Sometimes that gives you a list. It doesn't always work though.

Depends on the severity of the situation. To solve a murder? Yes they would. Very much doubt they would do that for DV or harassment.

Yes but No. A lot of legalities are involved and It's the "hassle" of it all that makes the difference.
