Football next weekend

I’m meant to be at a premier league football match next weekend in London. Do we think this will still go ahead?

I hope they play football next weekend BUT I am not sure if they will have enough police in London.
That is only speculation on my part though I have no more knowledge than you.

As far as I'm aware, it's all cancelled next weekend, particularly the London clubs, due to policing and road closures etc for the funeral.

I'm meant to be going to a championship match next week, it's my 4 year olds first game, I normally work Saturday and have especially booked it off, so I hope it's on!

i think we’re spurs away, hopefully the game will be postponed.

we are doing embarrassing bad and I don’t fancy another spurs drubbing. 😂

I have read they are trying to look at alternative grounds for some London games. Not sure how that will work.
With the break for the World Cup this year games are going to start backing up.

You're home to Leicester. My OH ( spurs fan ) was growling about it today.
Hopefully it will go ahead but at a different venue or I'm leaving home for the weekend 😬

Sorry, just re-read your post and seen you're Leicester, not spurs. Hopefully they'll find some resolution.

I don’t expect it to be on. While I don’t want to be disrespectful, I think it’s a shame they had to cancel this weekend. It would have been an opportunity for people to be together and pay their respects.

Delighted that my local league one team will be back tomorow.

I think only sport that doesn't need a heavy police presence will go ahead.

Speaks volumes for football

A 6-2 win to spurs is a bit more than a drubbing, but Leicester gave a good game, despite the end result.
Might have been a bit different if spurs hadn't have brought Son on.
