It took over 2 years, but a quick trip down south via coach and it bloody got me. I'm on day 7 and feel rough as a badger's arse, with no let up in sight as yet.

Today's achievement is managing to stay upright for long enough to shower. I'm now back on the sofa absolutely 💯 % knackered. Doing the usual painkillers etc.

I would say just take it easy, and don't push yourself to do much too quickly. I had it a few weeks ago (first time). Initially, I thought I got off lightly as I felt rubbish for a couple of days and then started to feel better again. I started with a really mucusy cough though, which is still keeping me up at night now. I was also getting dizzy spells for about a week and managed to fall down the stairs and fracture my coccyx. I felt shattered for a week or so afterwards and had to have a nap even day. I hate daytime naps as they make me feel weird, but I just went with it as I think my body needed it. Energy -wise, I feel back to normal now, but I wish this bloody cough would go!

I lost my taste and smell when I was feeling better !

I am taking it easy, no choice really as even brushing my teeth makes me need a lie down!

Tested positive 8 days ago. Rest, paracetamol, plenty of fluids. Fatigue and dizziness have hit me harder than anything else. Sore throat, headache, runny nose and cough had gone by day 4.
