Does anyone know how I can get mastitis treatment today?

I’m 99% sure that’s what I’ve got and I’m in agony, really struggling with my baby and toddler. Former keeps bursting into tears when she puts weight on my breast during feeding and I cry out in pain. Also feeling flu symptoms.

Does anyone know the best way to get antibiotics asap? My GP is closed on Sunday.

When I had mastitis on a Sunday I was able to get antibiotics prescribed over the phone by calling 111.

Call 111. You need to be seen today. Take ibuprofen for the pain and inflammation.

Although when I had mastitis I had an awful 24 hours in bed with a fever but DH kept bringing me DS to feed. My nipple was so sore it was agony but I kept feeding. The next day I was fine, so it doesn’t always need anti-biotics but appreciate it’s a worry.

Or go to a walk in centre if you have one near you. If you’re going to go to a walk in centre I would phone first to check as they all have slightly different criteria of things they can treat.

In the meantime keep feeding with different latch positions - dangle feed if you can - and try hand expressing under warm water in the bath to see if you can shift any blockage.
