I'm really enjoying the aerial shots of a sunny Aberdeenshire

Never has a long car journey seemed so beautiful!

I've very envious of all that spectacular scenery, particularly around Balmoral Smile

It's stunning, isn't it? Are you in Scotland yourself?

Mywatchis · 11/09/2022 12:55

It's so so beautiful. Can we know if people are watching around the world? So glad it's sunny, sad watching her leave for the last time 😭

Westfacing · 11/09/2022 12:56

No, inner London - just looking at all that space you've got!

I'm in the southwest of Scotland. I don't know the northeast well, so it's lovely to see where the Queen was so happy.

interesting fact - they commented that Scotland has one-third of the landmass of Britain, and only 8% of the population.

I'm about an hour behind with the broadcast, having had to pause several times. Watching the proclamation from Edinburgh atm.

Hugasauras · 11/09/2022 13:26

We live here! The convoy went past us about 40 mins ago. It really is beautiful here and around Ballater particularly.

greektreacle · 11/09/2022 13:45

It's spectacular. What a beautiful route.

museumum · 11/09/2022 13:47

We’re in the central belt but love a trip to Ballater.

daretodenim · 11/09/2022 13:51

My DH watches the Tour de France in part for the areal footage of the countryside. We also have beautiful countryside but until today no opportunity to see it from above. There's something quite relaxing about watching it.

Shame we only see Scotland - not even England (and I'm Scottish) - upon the Monarch's passing.

SirChenjins · 11/09/2022 13:57

I grew up in that part of the world - many happy memories

toodlesthen · 11/09/2022 14:07

I watched earlier and was stunned by how beautiful that part of Scotland is. Lovely weather too.

scissorsandsellotape · 11/09/2022 14:28

I love aerial shots

vinetbrie · 11/09/2022 15:10

They went past the foot of our road about 200 yards away. Lots of people attended.

Westfacing · 11/09/2022 15:45

I've just switched back on - ooh, the fab bridges!

I'm a big fan of bridges

Im from Aberdeenshire the reason it looks so lovely is because of all the bloody rain we usually have to contend with
Did look stunning though

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 11/09/2022 16:01

It is my home and is indeed a very beautiful part of the country 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

vinetbrie · 11/09/2022 16:19

@Figgygal

Rained every last week. I've got a lawn full of moss and mushrooms!

Westfacing · 11/09/2022 16:32

Good job the Queen died in Scotland otherwise we wouldn't have had today's experience to view.

I adore Aberdeenshire, the Cairngorms and surrounding area.

Get yourself on the sleeper train from Euston, @Westfacing, and wake up in Aviemore. It’s an adventure!

Westfacing · 11/09/2022 16:39

@IceStationZebra I might just do that one day!

I have done the sleeper to Edinburgh which was an experience to say the least Smile
