Please help me, I have no ideas! He's in his late 40s and likes:

  • cycling (massively into it) and running (less so).
  • music but would struggle to describe what he's into. He likes Nick Cave, if that helps.
  • good food, wine, etc.

All ideas welcome!

Forgot to add its cheap last time we went it was under £20 for hour an hour definitely enough
tram stop 3 minutes away you can go on train I wouldn’t drive unless you have to traffic nightmare and you have to book time slot have lunch and make a day off it
also there’s indoor go karting underneath the M.E.N arena which again you can get to on tram and is across the rd from Victoria station

Posh food hamper.. eg: cheese and wine. If you want to make it more special/personalised, add a personalised granite cheese board or set of wine glasses?

TR888 · 13/09/2022 06:53

Sorry for the late reply!, I've been avoiding MN to focus on work. Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

Could I please get ideas now for a physical present to open up on the day? A food hamper sounds lovely but I know our kids would want to share it!

As for the budget, up to £100 as we've already been on a holiday that was his main birthday present.

Posted too soon..,

We've done the Manchester velodrome taster sessions a few times - back jn the day he had his fresco license, and raced there as a student.

Any, for a physical present, we gave him a refillable leather notebook]] for his last birthday.

How into wine is he? You can get very fancy wine glasses. I got my SIL two for about £60 a few christmases ago. Lots of people would think it makes no difference, but she loved them.
