Any Volvo XC40 owners?

Picking up my new car today (not brand new) and I'm not 100% struck on it. Any XC40 owners? Anything good about them? Please cheer me up.

Yes , I love it, what are you not sure about?

I've heard it's not great space wise. We've only got a 5 and a 2 year old so no tall teenagers to think about. Used to big cars and I'm worried this will feel tiny. I didn't get to test drive it so I'm just a bit concerned I won't like it.

Set the front seats so they are comfortable for you and then get in the back.

I have a v40 rather than the XC40 and I did that. I found that it had plenty of leg room. My last cars were all Saabs Aeros and larger but somehow with less space.

I bought the V40 because I have a 14yo DS who is growing like a bean at the moment, and some of his friends are already over six foot.

It took me a while to get used to the V40. It doesn't corner as well as the Saab but perhaps it's time I slowed down. I like all the gadgets though. Much more convenient.

Give it a week or two.

The only thing I've found infuriating is the sat nav insists on calling Oxford 'Arksford' and it makes me want to stick a screwdriver in its workings. 😀

Great tips. I'm a long way from Oxford so hopefully that one won't bother me (I may try it once though just to hear them say that 🤣)

I have a v60 but I imagine it's similar make sure you put the app on your phone, I get a least one notification a day to tell me I've forgot to lock the car. You can lock it from your phone.

We have one and have no issues with the size at all.

DH is 6’5 and when he’s driving, there’s still plenty of room in the rear seat for a fully grown adult to sit with legroom. In our old cars, the driver’s seat has almost been touching the back seat when DH drives 😂

Boot is a really good size too. Not enormous but our large dog fits in it no problem!

We really like ours - very comfortable and nice to drive.

I have a v40 but had an xc40 for the day yesterday whilst my car was being serviced. It’s a lovely drive, not as spacious inside as I would have expected but more than enough for kids of those ages. We’d get the xc60 if we were to get another car but then we have three kids and they’re older.

I’m sure you’ll love it!
