Underwear for boys !

I really don't know where to post this so sorry if it's the wrong place. I keep buying my boy larger underwear but it always seems too small. I get him trunks as he doesn't like pants or boxers. He has quite big hips, thighs and backside (my fault as I'm pear shaped) but I just find the shops don't cater to this kind of shape for boys. I have tried plus size trousers but they are often too big around the waiste for him. He's coming up to 9 and his last lot of 11-12 pants are now too small but I'm wondering if I go up more sizes, are they still going to be tight around the bottom? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

i find asda has good fitting clothes try there

My DS prefers y fronts to trunks. Briefs are too brief! I’ve found Boden closely followed by Gap to give full coverage.

Thanks Rosy, good idea. Asda seems to be fairly large fitting.
Brogues, I find with the y fronts that they dig into him where the elastic is but I guess I could try in bigger sizes.

They both do trunks @middleoftheroadlife

I get them from m&s for my bigger than average DS, just in higher age- he's 12 and wears 15-16 (they don't do 14-15)

Well, I got some Asda ones a couple of sizes up and they are fine!
