The queen and Prince Phillip had been local to me and I was walking home from my nans house ....I see lots of police on motorcycles coming down the road and then there was the car and Prince Phillip waved at me and the queen smiled.
That is the closet to the queen I ever got.
Lots of happy memories growing up (36 now )
My nan loved her and collected lots of royal plates etc .
I remember having a afternoon tea with my nan to celebrate her jubilee etc
My nan has now passed and I feel a bit sad thinking of all the happy memories.

A friend met her when she was at a horse show, she was holding the foal and the Queen came to look at them, there is a photo where you can just see my friends head.

No. I saw her when she visited the city. And Princess Diana when she opened a school.

A former colleague's husband worked for the British Embassy and she got to go to one of these Royal garden parties at the Palace.

Yes, at St. James's Palace about 15 (20?) years ago. I was a steward for one of the charities of which she was a patron. She shook my hand and asked if I worked for the charity, so I explained why I was there. I also saw her at the Patrons' Lunch, but that was her passing in the car.

I have! She visited my work place. She was very twinkly and warm.
