Intermedullary nail removal from arm, anyone with experience of recovery?

My niece is due to have the nails taken out of her arm within the next couple of weeks. Google searches show nothing about recovery time from having these removed from an arm or in a child.
Has anyone had any experience of this?

Hi how did this go please

I assume it is what is known as a 'flexible nail' if it's a child.
If it's being removed then usually this is because the fracture is now healed. It's a day case procedure in most instances.
The discharge letter will give a timeframe for recovery, but usually say two weeks follow up for wound check/removal of sutures if required.
Maybe 3-4 days before they feel up to going back to usual activies.
Hope this is helpful.

@Tylerh It went well, they were only able to remove one, the other one is just staying forever.
She was fine within a couple of days.
