Can anyone recommend a good jacket for around £100 to take to New York in December

I have been in winter before (2018) and it was so warm we didn’t need a coat but don’t think we’ll be as lucky this time. I haven’t got a huge budget but just want something warm and dry

Thanks!

M n S? Uniqlo?

Does it need to be stylish or would you be ok with a down jacket?
Can't beat a Rab for warmth and being lightweight when travelling.

However Rab jackets cost a lot more than £100! TK Maxx often have a selection of good affordable winter jackets. Or try Decathlon or Mountain Warehouse?

Went in November one year, it was bitterly cold. First purchases were gloves hat and scarf. I had plenty of layers underneath, a great wind/wet proof jacket and I needed them, the wind (chill) in New York was painfully cold. Enjoyed it though, a year before 9/11 and the world started to dismantle. Hope hou have a great time.

I have a Lighthouse one which is very warm and quite lightweight. Uniqlo do nice down jackets but they won’t be as warm as a pricier version.

Thank you all! Not too bothered about it being stylish, I’ll take a look at all of your recommendations!
