Anyone been to Portugal recently? Any need for PLF?

I'm off to Portugal in 2 weeks and it's not clear on the .gov or easyjet websites whether I need a Passenger Locator form? It just says 'you might need to complete...'

I am vaccinated, boosted etc. Booster done within 270 days. Preparing to wear a flipping mask on board the plane. Sad

What else? First time on a plane since dec 2019!

I visited Lisbon in August and no PLF was needed or proof of vaccination.

CirreltheSquirrel · 08/09/2022 15:56

I'm going on Monday and my airline says nothing is needed.

Mykittensmittens · 08/09/2022 15:56

Came back 10/8 and nothing was needed.

Oh Great! I used to be on a plane every 6-8 weeks, but I can't bear the form-filling, tests, fear of 'failing' a test before or during the holiday...

No PLFs, and masks on planes were lifted last week too.

elisenbrunnen · 08/09/2022 18:00

No masks on planes? Even better!

DP has just told me that his booster was last October, so outside of the 270 days I read about! Is this enforced? (mine was Feb)
What happens if they get funny about this? A lateral Flow? Should he/Could he get another booster before we go?

It's a flipping minefield. Will need that holiday!

As far as I’m aware (I live in Portugal) there are no requirements at all any more. I just flew back to Lisbon on Sunday and wasn’t asked for any covid vaccine info and didn’t have to wear a mask anywhere. I was flying within the EU, so don’t know if it’s different at passport control, but my understanding is that all covid restrictions are lifted except for masks in hospitals and care homes.

dancingmice · 08/09/2022 18:26

Got back yesterday. Nothing required at all

I went to Portugal for a wedding 2 weeks ago and loved it. Went from Germany via Zurich and no forms or tests needed. My dh is good at checking all this out before the flight and he didn't say anything about tests.

Boosters currently have no expiry date anyway

From .gov site

COVID-19 entry requirements

There are no longer any COVID-19 vaccination, testing or passenger locator form requirements for entry to mainland Portugal, Madeira and the Azores.

If you’re travelling to Portugal via other countries, such as France and Spain , check the entry requirements for those countries before you travel.

Dreikanter · 08/09/2022 19:24

You just need to make sure that your passport fulfils the post Brexit requirements.

PerfectlyPreservedQuagaarWarrior · 08/09/2022 19:35

No fucks given when DB went in July.

Russell19 · 08/09/2022 19:41

No, nothing needed. Business as usual

Tree543 · 08/09/2022 19:52

Went 2 weeks ago and nothing was required.

Thank you all! That is exactly what I went looking for, clear and concise information.

We had to wear a mask on the plane from
London to Faro but not on the way back. Don't know whether that was a country requirement or because BA had outsourced the flight to a Finnish airline.

Dreikanter · 09/09/2022 09:59

Flew back last week on EasyJet and told masks were optional.

A couple of hotels were still doing social distancing (a bit) and people on trams had masks but mostly it was back to (pre Covid) normal.

elisenbrunnen · 04/10/2022 09:16

So - we flew back from Faro on Monday, no masks on planes, trains or buses.

No masks at the airport.
No checks on Covid passes; didn't even think about them.
No form filling.

Was fab!
