Got an offer through the post for this.
I didn’t realise it made lattés too.
Would anyone recommend it?

Love mine, only use it for hot chocolate but it has been in almost daily use since 26/12/20.

2MinuteRice · 08/09/2022 15:41

I got my wife one last Christmas as they were on offer and she loves it! I wasn't sure about it at first.
I got my sister one that was similar but held more and she likes it as well. Can't remember the brand but it was about £20 cheaper.

hotchocdrinker · 08/09/2022 15:42

I had seen them online but thought they were probably not worth the hype, and I suspected they might not heat the hot chocolate as hot as I like. However, I was given one as a Christmas present and it's amazing. I preheat my mug and it's plenty hot enough. I use it every day and would absolutely replace it if it died!

Florencenotflo · 08/09/2022 15:47

I've wanted one for so long but I couldn't justify that amount of money. I got one last year for Christmas as a present. I bloody love it. Once the weather turns colder we use it a lot for hot chocolate, although I'm tight and do the kids regular hot chocolate powder and milk in it 🤣 not the proper sachets. But I do them warm milk too.

My sister in law is vegan so I got her the vegan sachets, they are the best I've tasted.

Crayfishforyou · 08/09/2022 15:59

I got one for Christmas last year. It is amazing and my favourite so far is dark chocolate with oat milk

KangarooKenny · 08/09/2022 16:00

My kids love it.

Blueberry40 · 08/09/2022 16:18

I got one for Christmas last year and was excited to use it but it turned out to be quite a disappointment tbh. It doesn’t make a great hot chocolate imo, very little flavour and thin consistency with no foam top….I can make a much better hot chocolate using a £5 electric whisk. Definitely not worth buying!

ChessieFL · 08/09/2022 16:20

I love mine! My hot chocolate from the velvetiser has a foamy top.

DowntonCrabby · 08/09/2022 16:21

We love ours, we got it for DC as they love hot chocolate but I use it all the time for coffee, either to froth milk or to whip a full milky coffee. We’ve not tried any of the official latte sachets but I’m keen to give them a go.

ShandaLear · 08/09/2022 16:23

We got one as a gift a few years ago and it’s used almost daily by my son for hot chocolate (using Nesquick!).

SoupDragon · 08/09/2022 16:24

I'd get one of the cheaper ones like the Dualit one.

Surtsey · 08/09/2022 16:24

I bought my dd one for Christmas last year and she loves it. I can take it or leave it when it comes to hot chocolate, but the few she's made for me have been very nice.

Ashhead24 · 08/09/2022 16:27

100% worth it. We use ours all the time.

Jules912 · 08/09/2022 16:30

I love mine and a lot easier to clean than the cheaper one I had. Works best with the recommended chocolate flakes but also fine with cheap hot chocolate.

MogHog · 08/09/2022 16:50

I'd pondered this last year and ended up talking myself out of it as it was a lot of money and thought it probably wouldnt be as hot as i like it etc and bought the aldi version Instead as at £20 if I didn't use it alot it wouldn't matter.
Saw the velvetiser on offer the other week and thought sod it as I'm due to have major surgery soon and wanted to cheer myself up.
It is so much better than the cheaper Aldi one and its actually hotter than it too so I don't end up having to nuke it in the microwave. I'd say go for it.

Snowdropsarelovely · 08/09/2022 18:01

What's the offer please ? I love mine and want to buy one as a present

warofthemonstertrucks · 08/09/2022 18:51

I loved mine. Dp broke it and I thought I would I try and replace it with a cheaper version (mine was a present and I thought it wouldn't be worth buying myself a replacement). None of the cheaper versions I got were any good at all.

OhAmBackAgain · 08/09/2022 19:00

I've had mine a few years and love it, I've converted a lot of people in to Velvetiser owners.

Sugarsandwiches · 08/09/2022 19:01

The lattes are disgusting but the hot chocolates are incredible

BaconAndAvocado · 09/09/2022 07:50

Thanks all.
Sorry Snowdropsarelovely but I think I’ve chucked the leaflet with the offer into the recycling. When I fish it out later I will post.

What does it actually do ?
And how many cups does it make?

BaconAndAvocado · 09/09/2022 08:01

Blimey, I’ve just found this exact ( I presume) product on a website called Storam for £49.39!

OP posts:
icelollycraving · 09/09/2022 08:03

Ours is used daily. Hot milk for lattes and hot chocolate for Ds.

BaconAndAvocado · 09/09/2022 08:04

Snowdropsarelovely It’s £95 and the offer was sent through the post as I have a loyalty card with HC.

The grey one is £89.99 at the moment on amazon. Black friday is coming up in November and they normally have decent offers on for them then too.

It makes one cup at a time and has a whisk which removes to clean so whisks whilst it heats up with milk making it lovely and creamy smooth

WhatAmIDoingWrong123 · 09/09/2022 09:47

I got one for Christmas and I absolutely love it! It’s such a treat, especially in cooler weather. I love being able to offer guests something really nice when they come to see us. I use it for hot chocolate and coffee.
