I run a small business. We are sustainable and have a small team with five people which doubles in size temporarily over the Christmas period as we sell Christmas gifts.
Our sales have been down all year as cost of living has risen.
We pay our staff the living wage. I have just found out this goes up in September to reflect the cost of living crisis.
We are already struggling but ethically I don't believe in anything lower than the living wage. I just don't know what we're going to do to afford this.
Really we just need a large corporate order in advance.
Are others struggling as much as we are? I care about our team so much.
