A friend of mine is seeing someone who has said they are divorced.
They are getting serious and talking of marriage. He has a decree nisi certificate, but says he has lost the decree absolute . The divorce was around 10 years ago.
He is saying he will try to find it, but he doesn't seem to be able to come up with any other documents and is getting annoyed about having to contact courts etc.
I wondered if she could just do a search somewhere ?
I was going to suggest it , but when I look online its all put names in and then they ask for money.
I am hoping this is just him stressed that he seems to have lost it.
