Has anyone successfully lost weight eating the same 3 meals a day every day?

I need to shift probably 4stone. I've tried so many different things. I want to take all the thinking out of it. At least til the weight is gone. Then I can think about how to maintain.

Surely the simplest way is to pick 3 (or 2) set meals per day, drink only water and tea, and just repeat ad nauseum til I'm slim?

But then there's the whole "you'll fall off the bandwaggon" thing. I fall off when I have to plan, shop ahead, track calories. Its too much.

Has anyone successfully slimmed down by eating the same thing, every day, for a decent length of time?

I've done this. I lost 3 stone in about 3 months. I had overnight oats for breakfast, salad for lunch (with either prawns, salmon, steak etc) dinner was a stir fry with similar options. Then the odd small snack.

Wasn't hungry or felt deprived. Just make sure the meals you have you actually enjoy.

Did you prep dishes ahead to take out the potential to swerve off course? I know the oats can be prepped for the week, I've done them before, but what about the rest?

3st in 3m is amazing.

Lots of people succeed on plans like Exante, lighter life, slimfast etc for this reason. Not sure how sustainable it is but maybe that's just because I can't bear being hungry!

I'm ok with hungry but I'm terrible with boredom. Bored? Open the fridge. At a lul with work (wfh)? Have a bagel.

I can quite happily eat something small at 12noon then a meal at 8pm - with literally nothing else before or between. But if I'm bored? Snack. Evening meal with wine. Wine leads to crisp-seeking.

I've been doing something not dissimilar OP. I've made a list of items i enjoy eating and their calorie content, and then i kind of choose from it like a daily menu.
