How does anyone know which dehumidifier to buy?

I've just spent ages trying to research which one might help dry washing this winter, and I'm not usually indecisive or stupid but I'm going round in circles!

I want one that'll actually be efficient, but at the same time I don't want to go mad and spend more than I need to.

Could anyone wiser than me shed any light please?!

Meaco is often recommended. I couldn't get one at the time so have a Blyss from b&q. Don't get Blyss from b&q Grin
I wish I had one which was either smart or could be used with a smart plug (I can turn mine off with a smart plug but to turn on there is a physical button to press, and the smart plug isn't that smart). Would be handy for running it only during cheap rate electric.

I think the best brands are Meaco and Ebac. You can buy Meaco from John Lewis and Ebac directly from the Ebac website. I have the Ebac one - bought it nearly 10 years ago. I think a dehumidifier is essential in winter in the uk.

I have one similar to this www.amazon.co.uk/Prem-I-Air-Office-Xtreem-Dehumidifier-Capacity/dp/B00IHVQ2JW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?c=ts&keywords=Dehumidifiers&qid=1662402100&refinements=p_89%3APrem-I-Air&s=kitchen-appliances&sr=1-1&ts_id=3593780031

Had it over 10 years and it’s going strong - use it in conjunction with a Lakeland heated aired to dry laundry in winter.
