How do you cook Bolognese sauce? I've got the mince in now with vegetables and tinned tomatoes but the top keeps burning.

What setting have you got it on?

PeaceLoveAndCandy · 05/09/2022 18:49

I have put it on bake, 170 degrees.

Sorry didn’t get back to this but if it’s burning you could put a piece of tin foil over the top

@PeaceLoveAndCandy

Me, I know less than nothing about air fryers, but 'bake' seems like an odd choice for bolognaise AND the fact it's burning on top seems to confirm that, no???

@TooMuchToDoTooLittleInclination

Yup
Just to confirm that it turned out really shitty
After 1 hr, and after adding more tinned tomatoes and water, it was somewhat cooked and half edible, but the celery in it remained raw.
For now, I'd say the Ninja 400 is not a good gadget to cook bolognese.

Oh what a shame.

like I say, I know less than nothing about them, but I'm sure my friend cooks bolognaise in hers (I'll ask)

ehat I meant really was, isn't there a better setting than 'bake' for that kind of food?
