Is this £20 banknote real or fake?

I found this banknote in the road, it must have been run over a few times, rained on and run over again.
The ink has rubbed off but it feels like a real banknote and seems to have all the elements of one. But would it be possible for the ink to rub off like this?
So what do you think? Real or fake? Worth taking to a bank?

Nothing to lose by taking it to a bank. If the serial number checks out, you should be fine.

Take it to a bank. If it is a fake at least it’s one less in circulation. If it’s genuine your £20 up.
