I'm doing C25K very slowly. It's surprising how many songs don't have a consistent beat to run to. Can anyone please recommend some upbeat tunes that are energising?

Do you have Spotify or Apple Music! I use their workout or running playlists which I really enjoy as they update them so often!

My fave is the Apple Music "workout mix "

LividLaVidaLoca · 04/09/2022 06:18

I use the Spotify mix “Just Do It”.

It’s music all with the same bpm which is perfect for C25K. It’s refreshed all the time so it’s always evolving. No massive gaps between songs or long intros. All just right.

Thanks I've tried these before but I don't know the songs.

you can rip music off YouTube and convert it to mp3 and put it on your phone

workout music source has done stuff done by bpm all continuous mix

Zampa · 04/09/2022 06:52

Work out your speed and BPM and select your own songs. If your 5k time is about 35 minutes try 138 BPM and Google recommended tracks, for example:

Thanks I've tried these before but I don't know the songs.

What era songs do you like?

Status Quo can be good - 12 bar boogie is fairly consistent and nice and bouncy to run to

Thanks. I like all music, but find dance and pop best to run to. My fave era was grunge/indie/rock. But Curtis Mayfield Move On Up is very good to run to!

I'll check out the link.

On Spotify there are two good playlists I like - called - 90s Indie running and Running Dance Classics. 90s Dance Anthems is a good playlist too. Enjoy the running!

Thank you. Will check them out! Better get out of bed 😁
