My 12 yr old DS argues against everything I ask him to do from brushing his teeth and washing his face to tidying his room, doing homework, any kind of chore, drinking fluids or eating any kind of healthy food. Every single thing, unless he wants to do it, is a battle. It is so incredibly wearing and it is making me react to him so badly. I have no tolerance anymore and I find it hard to spend time with him as he is so obstructive and negative. He can be very rude and aggressive especially as he is getting older. He has consequences but he never seems to believe he has done anything wrong, he is always a victim and turns it round on me. He has no understanding of why I am so frustrated at asking him to pick up his towel from the floor for the 15th time that night because he hasn't done it the first time.
I don't know what to do anymore. It is badly affecting our relationship and I really need to get out of this cycle. Please help.
