Should I be more worried about possible fibroid growth and leg pains?

Hi everyone,

A couple of years ago, after very heavy and painful periods, I was scanned and the doctor found over 20 small fibroids in my uterus. They were not causing any problems, so no surgery was required, I just stopped having a break in my pill and avoided periods for a while. Bu the last couple of months I have put on about a stone and it all seems to be on my belly, which is very distended. In the last month I have had a burning pain on the bottom of my right foot that makes walking very uncomfortable and bad lower back pain, which have not been helped by physio. I suspect the fibroids have grown - I called my doctor, explained why I was looking for an appointment, refused an emergency appointment and the earliest date is 20th of September. My daughter feels I should be taking the pain more seriously and insisting I be seen sooner. If I am honest, I would love to be seen sooner as I am fed up with looking eight months pregnant and being in pain, but does this justify an emergency appointment? The NHS is so stretched at the moment, I don't want to be a hysteric! What would you guys do?

Lease please make an urgent gp appointment. You need to check this is fibroids, not assume.

Take that 20th September appointment, then see if you can get a sooner one.
Could the pain in your foot be plantar fasciitis ? And could the back pain be caused by walking funny due to the foot pain ?
