I have just heard Helen Reddy, "I Am Woman" on the radio and remembered how I played it over and over as a teenager (nearly 50 years ago. I loved the song and the whole women's lib vibe that was happening at the time.
Years later I played it to fire me up during a long drawn out dispute with my local council over lack of local support for my disabled son. For some reason every meeting I had was with a man in a suit! We eventually won the care he was legally entitled to and still love "I Am Woman!"
