I've been lucky enough to have been given a weekend at the Savoy in January for my 50 th.
I was wondering would I still need to book afternoon tea or a guest can I just turn up and have it ?

I’d ask the hotel well in advance, to be on the safe side. A friend and I once took guests from abroad for tea there, can’t remember whether we booked, though.

Enjoy your break! For several years I used to go to an annual lunch do at the Savoy - fellow attendees and I soon found out that the Coal Hole next door was considerably cheaper for drinks if we wanted to carry on well after the lunch do was over!

We stayed at the Savoy last year and booked afternoon tea in advance. Better safe than sorry. It was delish by the way. Better than The Ritz.

@dazzlingdeborahrose do I need to book to drink in the bar or can I just go in The American?
