I've been up a while & had a cuppa, I'm just making a fresh one to take up while I get dressed and send dd1 in the shower.

We're off to Rotherham Show on Clifton Park today - I've been watching the forecast all week & it looks like rain late afternoon but hopefully we'll have had a good wander by then & can come home if it does rain 🤞

I have a few bits to finish for work on Monday so will maybe do a bit of varnishing props when we get in...or I may just flake on the sofa, we'll see.

We're taking a picnic & some snacks so hopefully no-one will want a proper tea when we get in! We'll see.

What about all of you? 🙂

washing clothes and getting ready for the new term!

I also plan to make a cake. And will seek out a film to watch later as a family.

DIY!!! There is a problem with a corner of the roof above my office. Husband reckons he can fix it. Apparently it's a 'quick job' - yup, I'll believe that when I see it.

Children are tidying rooms and talking about going down to the playground to play basketball.

Tide this evening means we are going out sailing as a family at 4pm.

So everything and nothing going on here today.

Enjoy the show and hopefully you'll dodge the showers!

Morning @lucysmam your day sounds nice hope not too much rain for you. I was up at stupid time so did the online food shop with coffee.
Now gone back to bed with slow fry up on the cooker, DH reading and I'm on here. DD's asleep still we had family round for a few drinks last night so all abit tired and slow.
Back to school hair trims in a bit then DD 15 has work later.
I need to process some cooking apples from a groaning tree, they aren't the best apples but hate to waste them. DH has some wood to cut ready for seasoning and a few garden jobs. Think it might be chilli for tea and new LOTR series to watch.
We desperately need rain here but just looks like a bit of feeble drizzle so far.

I’m running the London marathon this year, so I went on an 18 mile run this morning, my time was okay, but my pace wasn’t great.

My husbands at baby sensory at the moment with the baby, hes got a football game later. While he’s there the rest of us are going to a pancake art cafe, their theme at the moment is dinosaurs, its only in Camden so I can’t decide whether to walk or be lazy and get the tube, I’m tempted by an uber but thats extreme laziness.

Grandma is coming over later and staying for a few days, so we’re all looking forward to that. We’re going to hopefully finish watching paper girls tonight and start rings of power. We have an appointment to get our daughter a Swedish ID number on Monday, so we have lots of paperwork to go through as well.

Hopefully the rain will either hold out or not be too heavy @lucysmam

I always look out for your Saturday thread LucysMam Smile

Quiet morning with coffee and then off into town to treat DD to a McDonald’s she’s fancied for days and a wander around, pick up something for dinner which we will have whilst watching more Gilmore Girls (for the hundredth time!)

hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

lucysmam · 03/09/2022 12:05

@InglouriousBasterd my girls have been watching Gilmore Girls together, over the holidays, and comparing me to Loralei Gilmore 🤣

Had football training this morning, DH has gone off to London to watch the football with his dad. I've made lunch for me and the DC - DS1 is gaming, DS2 is talking incessantly. We need to go and get some school trousers for DS1 for Monday but I can't get either of them motivated to get going. We might have to go in the morning!

chineapplepunks · 03/09/2022 14:22

DD (17 weeks) slept through the night last night so I woke up feeling refreshed for the first time in god knows how long. Spent the morning doing household jobs, went for a long walk with her and the dog and now we're snuggling in bed for afternoon nap!

Naimee87 · 03/09/2022 14:24

Just had my 4th Truck lesson! Now heading to a friends place with DS & the little dog! Planning a little country walk and drinks.

TeddyTed · 03/09/2022 14:24

I’m late to this today. Have pottered round doing some housework and an online food shop this morning, and now just watching the downhill mountain biking (terrifying) before finishing up a few more jobs. We’re off out for tea later on which should be nice. I like to head out knowing the house is clean and things are done, it helps me feel I’ve deserved my glass of wine and dessert!

popandchoc · 03/09/2022 14:28

Took DD2 to swimming, can tell she's been swimming lots on holiday as did really well.
DD1 went to cinema with her friend. DD2 and I went for coffee and catch up with my friend. Then picked up DD1 from mcdonalds. She is now doing homework with her friend. Just started year 7 so very keen, sure that won't last...

Strangerthings4NW · 03/09/2022 14:35

I was up all night with a stinker of a migraine so I’ve got back into bed for an hour. DH and the kids are gaming and DH has planned steaks for dinner tonight so I don’t have to cook. We like to do a family movie on a Saturday night if we’re all in, so probably pick out a comedy later on to watch.
