Would you say this is a vomiting bug for a child?

DS woke up at 12am, vomit. Went back to sleep. Then just woke up again - vomit. All over the sheets, everywhere. He's age 5. Non verbal autism. Doesn't even understand to aim for a bowl. It really is quite hellish

Does this sound like a bug? It is a bug right, and probably not a one off from a dodgy belly?

He's never had a sickness bug before of any kind Sad poor thing doesn't know what's hit him

And then there's DD. She was very prem. How likely will she be to catch it? She's almost 1

If its a bug they will vomit constantly every few hours

Thank you

He was vomiting all night - about 5/6 times. He's terrified, has no idea what this new sensation is Sad

Aww. He's done lucky to get to 5 without having one before. Put loads of towels down. Hope it eases soon.

So sorry. It must be quite unsettling for him. It is hard to tell if it's a food bug or a virus, if it's a virus then your little one may well get it.

Hi poor him and you. My son also has non verbal autism and doesn't understand vomiting so always a bit of a nightmare when this happens. You can't know yet if it s a bug or something he ate, you'll see if he keeps on being sick.
Just put lots of towels and spare sheets down and hope it doesn't go on too long. Sending you lots of strength !

Oh bless him! He’s done well to make it to 5 without one!

Just to update in case anyone searched in the future -

It must be viral. I am using the loo for England Blush and H is both vomiting and on the toilet. He seems very unwell with it

DD the baby is fine! She just kept farting last night but is her usual self

DS was fine after a bath Confused then went back to his usual hyperactive antics. No signs he's been unwell at all

Glad DS is okay but sorry you picked it up! Awful things those stomach bugs.
