Just seen this. Jodie Comer is outstanding. Can't say much more than that as I am still agog and full of one hundred thousand emotions - one leading to another. Best actress of my time. If you have seen this can you pop a reply with your thoughts. Thanks

Yea saw the filmed version - NT in cinemas thingie- and thought it was excellent. Grim subject matter but agree she was incredible.

MaryJoLisa · 03/09/2022 00:09

I haven't yet but a colleague did and was telling me today it was one of the most incredible pieces of acting she had ever seen, so even more keen to see it now!

MintyFinty · 03/09/2022 00:10

Loved it. Very powerful. The 1 in 3 really came through and was an interesting device in the plot. Look left, look right.
I liked the fast paced nature of the play. But was amazed at how much Jodie Comer would have had to learn! And brilliant expression and having humour at the beginning was important too.
The Liverpool accent made the whole thing a bit reminiscent of Educating Rita... I wonder if that was deliberate.
Also saw the play this evening... Possibly in the same theatre?!

FancyFelix · 03/09/2022 00:11

It was absolutely incredible, I felt so drained. Can't believe she does that every night

NeverTooLateToSing · 03/09/2022 00:15

I saw it when the NT Live did a transmission last month. Just incredible. The whole theatre was just silent at the end, then thunderous applause. So powerful. Such an achievement.

CornishTiger · 03/09/2022 00:17

I just saw Jodi Comer on Broadway this afternoon. She is absolutely incredible. Astounding. How does she do it? I can’t stop thinking about her

Everybodywants · 20/04/2023 00:24

Incredible. Saw it NT Live

AnotherBritInTheUSA · 20/04/2023 00:44

I was glad she won the Olivier award. The Tony nominations come out on May 2nd - she will definitely win Best Actress

DelphiniumsBlueWildRose · 20/04/2023 07:00

Yes she's incredible. Saw it on it's first run. Outstanding actress & play.

Morewineplease10 · 20/04/2023 07:06

Fully agree. Loved everything about it. So cleverly done. She is mesmerising.

LovelaceBiggWither · 20/04/2023 10:36

I saw it last year in Brisbane Australia. It is an extraordinary play. Sheridan Harbridge played the role and she was amazing. We hadn't known what the play was (have a season subscription) and were just stunned by it.

spiderlight · 20/04/2023 11:57

It's incredible, isn't it? We saw it at the cinema last year and were absolutely blown away by it.

BibbleandSqwauk · 20/04/2023 12:03

I thought she was phenomenal. I thought the play was great until the last 20 mins or so it got a bit preachy and "this is the message" which felt unnecessary. Love the concept of NT live though. I live a long way from London so it's great that things like this are possible.

monsteramunch · 20/04/2023 12:08

This is a very silly question I know but can someone confirm the correct pronunciation of the play's title? I saw Jodie Comer doing the rounds in various interviews and everyone seemed to pronounce it differently so it's been (irrationally) driving me mad!

EmmaGrundyForPM · 20/04/2023 12:10

I pronounce it
Prima (as in Prima Donna)
Fay - shee

I'm.not sure I'm.correct though!

AnotherBritInTheUSA · 20/04/2023 12:55

@EmmaGrundyForPM I agree with you but here in New York they pronounce it Primer Facey

ItalianChineseIndianMexican · 14/09/2024 09:30

Amazing production. Jodie Comer is outstanding! I'm in awe of her.
