Burn advice (again sorry) (picture included ..sorry!)

Wednesday night I sustained a fairly unpleasant, and very painful burn when my hot water bottle exploded. Went to Minor injuries, got it dressed.
Tonight the burn was really hurting and had soaked through the dressing... they gave me spares so figured I'd redress it, only to realise the burn over my elbow is bigger than the dressing! No wonder it hurt as the sticky edges were attached to raw skin!
Tomorrow I'll go to the chemist and see if they have a bigger dressing (failing that go back to minor injuries but seeing as they put a too small one on I'm not keen)
Any suggestions how to cover it tonight? I could try cling film again but it's hard to tape into place! Pic doesn't show clearly but some skin is sheared off and the rest is bubbly!

Cling film is supposed to be good as a stop gap on burns.

Looks really sore. Hope you feel better soon.

Cling film would keep it clean which is really important and ease the pain (something to do with stopping the oxygen) so a good stop gap. I would try and get hold of some Mepitel dressing - doesn’t get stuck to the wound - plus absorbent pad on top then bandage. I was given this for similar burns. But you might need to get it done properly again. You have my sympathy.

Cling film, then bigger burn dressings tomorrow.

If it's any consolation, it's not as bad as I had imagined from your description in the original thread. Also pain is good, as it shows the nerves are still working.

Hope it heals soon.
