Low mood - how to help myself?

Hello, I have been through a relationship breakdown, my job is insanely stressful with a huge project deadline coming up in 4-6 weeks time so my life will revolve around that mostly, and I am not where I want to be professionally or personally to be honest.

I am lonely and down in the dumps and know I need to help myself before I spiral into depression.

I have signed up to the gym as that always helps. Good diet - lean protein, salad and veg. Early nights. Treat myself with something nice once a day. Anything else?

For me maintaining my appearance really helps. Some may think its shallow but I genuinely notice a difference. On the days when I make an effort to dress a little nicer, wash & style my hair and apply makeup I am more outgoing, I have more energy and generally feel more positive.

As the above stated "appearance."
Wash, dress, feel comfy, feel good.
Watch tv that makes you happy/lols
Speak to family that make you happy.
Gym is good but you could excercise at home and save travel time etc and use time for a good sleep.
Consider changing jobs, different type of work and or training.
consider short break/hol

If its that bad I sleep rest until I can face the world again my talking books are a godsend hugs.
