Since my partner died - I have very much not been anywhere . I have bravely/foolhardly booked a coach trip to Germany for a week- just wanted to do something different. Never been on a coach trip before - any tips - can you recommend things like travel pillows or headphones or what else will useful. Many thanks

Don’t forget that you can decide how much you wish to interact with fellow travellers and the tour leader. Stick to what’s comfortable for you.
Feel free to skip a day tour, take a rest or duck out of an evening meal in favour of room service.
If you have a burning desire to see a particular museum or sight that isn't on the itinerary or just want to sit in a cafe, it’s perfectly reasonable to excuse yourself. Sometimes you’ll find there’s at least one other person who feels the same way. You and them can buddy up and go do something different instead.
That said, when you’re out and about with the group, keep up and don’t wander off without telling anyone. Expect the pace to be fairly busy. Tours require early morning starts and energy!
There will definitely be at least one person on your tour who annoys you. Be prepared for it mentally and don’t feel bad about simply avoiding them. After all, this is your holiday and you deserve to have a great time.
Pack clothes that can be used to create a number of different outfits and really go with each other. This isn’t the time to pack things ‘just in case’.
Download a few good podcasts and take a few page-turners.
Have fun!
