Going to a one day festival, just me and an 11 year old with ADHD. Is it possible?

His dad doesn't want to come, his brother isn't well enough, my mum thinks it's too much for her now.

Will we have to be nomads and carry everything with us? Has anyone else experienced this?

It really depends on whether he’s up for it - is there enough to engage a tween boy or are you dragging him along because you want to go and can’t leave him?
Also depends on how long you’re travelling to get there because if you’re planning on leaving just after the best acts, you could be waiting a while to get out of the car park. Could be a very long day!

He's come every year before Covid and he looks forward to it, it's a day out and he enjoys dancing and just burning off energy on the green. We don't have a car, we're taking the tube there and back. There's also a pub with a fantastic playground right next to the green where we stop off afterwards, I'm pretty sure he's not too old for that as he's a young 11, but it might not be as much fun with no one to play with.

Update: He didn't come in the end either but was bored all day and wished he had. I suspect he'll come next year if it's on at all. After terrible tubes and 30 minutes of torrential rain, I had a great day.
