Solicitor advice please

Can anyone recommend a solicitor they have used?

We have had issues for 2 years which has seen us now paying privately for treatment at a cost of potentially £200,000. We are not rich people and this would mean probably selling our home.

We have complained to CAMHS and they are slowly investigating their own actions.

we really need some help and advice on where to go next. They were clearly negligent and I need a solicitor to help with this preferably one that has experience of mental health.

Thank you

If you're talking about a medical negligence claim, perhaps start with one of the big firms like Irwin Mitchell.

It's unclear, is it medical negligence OP?
Are you saying a medical person caused the harm?
As PP said you may be better going to one of the big specialist firms

It’s always a risk asking for recommendations unless it’s from a lawyer who knows whether a good job has actually been done (as often clients are none the wiser when their lawyer is poor!)

Irwin Mitchell, as above, are usually a safe bet though (I say this as a lawyer!)

Switalskis are outstanding with MH.

Irwin Mitchell do have a service aimed at advocating for children's services.

I recall reading cases in the media about negligence, and Irwin Mitchell come up. Perhaps see what cases have been reported in the media and who the legal team was.

Thank you everyone. Sorry I wasn’t clear. I believe it is negligence and know it’s hard to prove this but I seriously think everything stacks up.

To begin with, in 2 years they were unable to diagnose anything at all and used the signs of what has finally been diagnosed as a reason not to intervene. That and and a list as long as your arm of other things.

I will look at the recommendations and sm very grateful. I have no experience in this area until now!

Use your local law centre as you may be entitled to legal aid, or Shelter. There is sometimes assistance from your local councils homelessness team as well.
