George Best Airport Belfast?

Anyone know if it's possible to walk from George Best Airport to IKEA?

It's literally next to the airport but Google maps estimating over an hours walk on what I assume is official footpaths.

Flying into airport in December then getting taxi to friends house about 40 min drive away but would love to quickly nip in and wondering if anyone local knows a shortcut??

No I don’t think you can walk easily, but you can get the taxi to wait for you? It’s a short drive.

No, and even if you did try the walk it’s on a very busy dual carriageway so not a pleasant one! It’s max 5 mins drive away though so I would just get a taxi there and then another to your friend’s house.

Absolutely not! The airport is on the Sydenham bypass and you can't walk on it either.

And it's not right next to the airport as its further down the A2 dual carriageway en route to Holywood.

Ok thanks everyone - tried to figure out if it was possible by looking at Street View but will rule it out now
