Quick question about Bradford-on-Avon

We'll be spending the weekend in Bradford-on-Avon. We'll just be looking around, going to the country park and tithe barn, going to the pub etc, and we don't have a car so we can't go more than a couple of miles away.

My question is, do I need walking boots or will trainers do? I know the weather forecast isn't great but we finally have the chance to get away for a few days.

If it were me, I'd take both. However, if you have to choose, take walking boots if they are waterproof. Putting on soggy trainers is not nice!

Take both. Can get boggy if ground is wet.
Canal boat trip? I think there’s bike hire as well somewhere near the canal but many years since I’ve been there.

Everywhere is still so dry I'd probably just take trainers. Walking boots can get very hot on the feet.

I know you’ve got your weekend planned out but I love to follow the canal to Avoncliff, an AONB and to the pub there. Is it going to rain? I’d have thought everywhere would still be dry underfoot so trainers for me too

Have a lovely weekend!

We might walk to Avoncliff on Saturday when it's hopefully not going to rain, but it will rain tomorrow (Friday) so the ground could become wet.

There'll be more rain on Sunday so we'll probably stay in the town more then.

Rather than bring a coat, I think I'll bring my waterproof jacket and have a long-sleeved layer underneath.
